It usually starts with one awkward question: a customer wants a carbon number, a tender asks for an LCA, someone notices a claim on the website that is hard to back up. We work out what a site really uses and wastes, whether what a company publishes matches its own data, and what a product actually costs the environment. Claims are checked against whatever the number was built to: ISO 14040 and 14044, EN 15804 and the applicable PCR where an EPD is involved, and the GHG Protocol for Scope 1, 2 and 3. Carried into disclosures so a BRSR narrative section, an EPD, a customer questionnaire and the website do not tell different stories, and an SDG map to named targets without overclaiming. The standard is agreed before work starts and named in the report: ISO 14040 and 14044 for the life cycle model underneath, the GHG Protocol where it must reconcile with a Scope 3 inventory, EN 15804 and the applicable PCR where an EPD is the destination. Time and price depend on the size and complexity of the site or product, supply chain depth, how much own data exists, and whether an independent review is included. Every engagement is quoted in a written proposal before work starts. We prepare for audit and do not certify.
