How to Get Started

The way in

If you are not sure what you need, we work that out with you rather than ask you to guess first. That is what the first call is for. The discovery call is free; everything after it is quoted in a written proposal before any work starts.

The five steps

  1. Discovery call (free). You explain the situation and what is driving it: a customer request, a tender, a regulation or a claim under question. We say honestly whether and where we can help.
  2. Maturity snapshot. A short structured look at where you stand across data, capability, systems and product knowledge, with the gaps named.
  3. Written proposal. A recommendation for the first engagement, with its boundary, deliverables and price set out.
  4. Engagement. The work itself. Every figure shows its working, and the models are handed over at the end.
  5. Next step. A view of what the first engagement makes possible. Engagements are designed to hand over rather than to renew themselves.

How work is scoped and priced

  • If an advisory question turns out to need one of the services, we quote it as that service rather than bill you advisory hours.
  • Time and price depend on the size and complexity of the site or product, how deep the supply chain goes, how much of your own data already exists, and whether an independent review is included. Each one is quoted in a written proposal before any work starts.
