Standards

The standard is agreed before work starts and named in the report, because the one that counts is the one your customer, auditor or platform will accept. In practice that means ISO 14040 and 14044 for the life cycle model underneath, the GHG Protocol where the figure has to reconcile with a Scope 3 inventory, and EN 15804 with the applicable PCR where the number is headed for an EPD.

How work is scoped and priced

  • The deliverables listed for a service are indicative, not a fixed package. A real engagement is often narrower, and sometimes a single item on that list is the whole job. What is in scope, and what is not, is named in the proposal.
  • If an advisory question turns out to need one of the services, we quote it as that service rather than bill you advisory hours.
  • Time and price depend on the size and complexity of the site or product, how deep the supply chain goes, how much of your own data already exists, and whether an independent review is included. Each one is quoted in a written proposal before any work starts.
