These terms govern your use of the website at acgreentransition.com, operated by Abhay Chatterjee Consultancy LLP, trading as AC Green Transition, of 7/115 D and E (604), Tilak Nagar, Swaroop Nagar, Kanpur Nagar, Uttar Pradesh 208002, India. Using the site means you accept them. They cover the website only. Paid work is governed by the written proposal and engagement letter signed for that work, and where those documents and this page disagree, those documents win.

What this site is

This site describes the kind of sustainability work we offer, sets out how engagements are scoped, and publishes articles explaining the underlying subjects. It is a description of services and a set of explanatory material. It is not a quotation, an offer capable of acceptance, or a promise that any particular result can be achieved for you.

Nothing here is professional advice

The articles and service descriptions discuss reporting obligations, standards and methods in general terms, for a general audience. They are not legal advice, not regulatory advice, not accounting or assurance advice, and not advice on your specific situation. Standards and regulations change, and how they apply depends on facts this site cannot know about you. Do not act on anything here without checking it against your own circumstances and, where the stakes call for it, advice from a qualified adviser engaged for that purpose.

Reading this site, downloading anything from it or sending us a message does not create a client relationship. That relationship begins when a written proposal is accepted and an engagement starts, and not before.

What we do and do not certify

We prepare organisations and studies for audit, assurance and disclosure. We are not an accredited certification body, an assurance provider or a verifier, and we do not certify, verify or assure our own work or anyone else's. Where an engagement needs independent review, certification or assurance, that is carried out by a separate qualified third party. Training delivered by us carries a certificate of completion only; no course offered here is accredited, certified or government-recognised.

Accuracy and availability

We take care that what is published here is accurate on the day it is published, and we correct errors when we find them. We do not warrant that the site is free of error or interruption, that it will always be available, or that any figure, standard reference or external link remains current. The site is provided as it is. Where a page carries a date, read what it says as of that date.

Using the site

You may read, print and share pages from this site for your own information and for internal business use, with the source attributed. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial parts of the site as your own material, resell it, present it as another organisation's work, or use it to train a commercial model for resale as a substitute for the original. Links to other sites

Some pages link out, including the interviews listed on the appearances page, which are hosted by their publishers. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content, and a link is not an endorsement. When you follow one you leave this site, and that publisher's terms and privacy practices apply from that point.

The contact form

Messages sent through the form are read by us and answered where we can help. Sending one does not oblige us to take on the work, and it does not oblige you to buy anything. Please send only information appropriate to a first conversation; the privacy policy explains how what you send is handled and asks you not to send confidential or third-party data through it. Do not use the form to send unsolicited advertising, and do not submit anything unlawful or infringing through it.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Abhay Chatterjee Consultancy LLP is not liable for loss arising from the use of, or reliance on, material published on this website, including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of contracts or loss of data. If liability for anything connected with your use of the site is nonetheless established, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for access to this site, which is nil. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Liability under a paid engagement is not governed by this page but by the engagement documents for that work.

Privacy

What the site collects, why, and how to switch analytics off is set out on the privacy policy page, which forms part of these terms. In short: analytics is off unless you accept it, Cookie settings at the bottom of any page changes your answer at any time, and a change applies immediately. If you withdraw consent, reload the page if you want it rebuilt without the analytics script that had already loaded into it.

Changes

We may change these terms when the site or the business changes. The current version is always the one on this page, with its date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms; if you do not, stop using the site.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from the website, are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction. Where consumer protection law in your own country gives you rights that cannot be excluded by agreement, this clause does not take them away.
